We welcome today’s announcement that COVID 19 restrictions will be easing from this Friday. There couldn’t be a better time to organise your winter conference in Nelson. The first thing you’ll need to find is a conference venue, that’s where we come in.
It’s time to organise your Winter Conference Venue in Nelson
From midnight this Friday, 25 March 2022, indoor gathering limits at Red will double from 100 to 200. If you’re organising a large conference, you’ll be pleased to know that we can accommodate you in the Kotuku room. Please find out more about our conference venue’s capacity HERE.
To celebrate the easing of restrictions and that one no longer has to look camera ready for virtual conferences! We thought we’d share three reasons why we believe in-person seminars have the edge over Zoom!
Up Close and Personal:
Well, perhaps not too up close! Nevertheless, it’s fair to say that your delegates will get more out of an in-person conference than a virtual event. No matter how one tries to recreate the water-cooler effect online, it’s fair to say it never works as well as IRL! Those breaks with a muffin and a coffee are where all the critical conversations occur.
Staying Focussed:
We’ve all experienced online events over the last two years. So, it’s fair to say that most readers will appreciate the term ‘focus drift’… You know how it is… The speaker’s slideshow is going on a bit too long, so you open a new window on your computer to check your social feeds or read the news. At a face-to-face conference, that’s not as easy, so your delegates will remain focused.
To Pay or Not to Pay:
If you’re organising a trade conference for delegates from many organisations, you likely need to make a profit. Prospective attendants tend to believe that they will get more value from an in-person event than a virtual event, so they are generally willing to pay more to attend.
