Over the last four weeks, we’ve been doing the same as everybody else… Staying at home. But now, with confirmation that Level 4 lockdown will be lifted next week, we’re looking forward to providing Nelson residents with home-delivered meals once again!
All of our meals are restaurant quality. We deliver them chilled, ready for you to heat and eat; (you can do this in a microwave or a conventional oven). Why not take advantage of our “Mixed 7 – Special” for $100? You select seven meals from the choices available. You can mix things up or choose seven of the same option. As an opening special you’ll also receive a bonus – Seven homemade savouries for morning tea, (while stocks last).
Prepare your Freezer for our home-delivered meals:
Our home-delivered meals are all freezable. You won’t have to repackage them. Just pop them straight in the freezer as is, and pull them out to defrost when you’re ready to indulge.
If you’ve cleaned the oven and scrubbed the house,we thought you might want to prepare your freezer for your Beachside Nelson home-delivered restaurant quality meals. So, we thought we’d share some tips for organising your freezer!
First things first… Declutter:
Like all organisational tasks, start with decluttering. Delve to the bottom of your freezer draws and discard the unlabelled containers that you placed in there some years ago! Check the dates of items that might have been lurking in the depths. And if they’re out of date, get rid of them!
Zone in:
Make things easier to find by segregating different categories of frozen goods into zones. Store your bagged veggies and fruits in one draw. Keep uncooked meats in another (at the bottom is best). Fish should be separated, as should bread and baked goods. Finally, try to keep all your prepared or ready meals in a draw on their own. Clear some space for your Beachside Nelson home-delivered restaurant quality meals.
Perfect your packaging:
Making space is a crucial part of organising your freezer. Invest in good-quality bags and store your homemade soups and casseroles flat wherever you can. Remember to label everything!
Write a list:
Who doesn’t love a list? Here’s a brand new excuse to write one. Find a notebook to create a ‘freezer inventory.’ Outline what foods you have, when you froze them, and when they need to be used by. This simple task will not only make planning meals and shopping lists easier. It will also help to cut down on food waste!
